Writing: Monthly update for February 2021

Happy March!

Hello friends!

February was great! My husband and son made my birthday, on the 27th, amazing! 
On Friday, our 16-year-old made seafood pizza with homemade crust and homemade kitty biscuits for biscuits and gravy the next morning!

Hubby made breakfast on Saturday! Biscuits and gravy, scramble, French toast, and burnt bacon (my favorite!) And my cake. OMG! My cake! I love unicorns. So, yeah. This cake was everything! Even the sprinkles!! It was a great day of binge watching most of season 5 of Gilmore Girls and eating way too much sugar.

This month's theme is kind of obvious but also goes with an announcement I'll make later in the newsletter. Keep reading for some exciting book news! Also, I used washi tape for the first time. But only because I made a mistake too big to fix with whiteout lol

I started using MeWe this month. Mostly because Facebook has threatened to delete my group by way of policy changes. They are going to show you posts from groups less often and start deleting groups that post pics of shirtless men aka my book covers.

MeWe lets me post whatever I want! PLUS, they have the group chat function. This has opened up a new line of communication with my readers that I am in LOVE with! Live writing updates!!

The image below is an example of what we get up to during my writing sessions. We also just chat about books and life and whatever. It's fantastic! I would love to see you there!

Current Romance WIPs:

Love on Blake and Main (Love on Main, #2, Fixer-upper) - I'm SO close to finishing this. Should get the first draft done in just a few days! This is my main focus until it's done.

Lucky One (Heating Up the Holidays anthology St. Patrick's Day romance) - I have a decent outline done for this. Brother's best friend takes her home from a St. Patrick's Day party to sober up after she unknowingly pinches his butt for not wearing green.

Love on Oliver and Main (Love on Main, #3, Age Gap) - This will be next on my list. Didn't actually work on it in February. Just wanted to let you know where I'm at!

Almost there! One week until release day! →

One week from today my first book, Fake to Fate, will officially be released into the wild!

I thought I'd be a lot more anxious or nervous but honestly, I'm just ready to have it done! To be able to say, "I DID IT!" This has been a much better experience than I ever expected it would be. And I can't wait to release another one.

And the next one is coming right along! I'm already about 1/3 through the first draft and loving it! It's called PLUS ONE and it's a friends to lovers about a woman who finds herself without a date to her best friend's beach wedding. More to come on this soon! Probably when the website is finished.

Speaking of which, Anastasia Austin's official website will be done soon! I've decided a dedicated space is necessary to keep things organized and clear for readers. The biggest change will be that I'll no longer link to this site when using my pen name. If you already follow me here, don't worry, I'll still post updates here too! But if you'd rather follow my pen name exclusively, I will provide the link as soon as possible.

I'm so excited to be on this journey and can't wait to hear what you all think of the book!
